About

I grew up in Manchester, with parts of my childhood spent in rural Herefordshire and Shropshire. Painting and drawing have always been part of how I experience the world.

In my twenties, I moved to Aberdeenshire, later returning to Manchester with a deeper appreciation for the contrast between rural and urban life. I became fascinated by architecture—the hard sparkle of Aberdeen granite in contrast to the warm terracotta of Manchester brick.

More recently, I’ve turned my focus to rural scenes. After living in remote Scotland, I miss the rhythm of nature and the changing seasons. Painting these spaces helps me reconnect.

I work mainly in acrylics, using bold colours and concentrated forms to reflect the unique palette of each landscape.

I often return to the Scottish Highlands, a place that feels like home and continues to shape my creative choices.

I enjoy spending time in The Lake District, North Wales, and the Peak District, all of which which give me miles of creative inspiration,

Art Fair Cheshire

This Year’s Art Fair Cheshire will be held on 8th - 15th October at Macclesfield Town Hall, open daily 10.30am - 4.30pm.

A popular biennial event which celebrates creativity, craftsmanship and community spirit, whilst raising vital funds to help East Cheshire Hospice. The Hospice provides expert care and support for adults living with life limiting illnesses.

A variety of carefully curated works will be displayed including paintings, prints, sculpture, ceramics, textiles glasswork, photography, jewellery and mixed media creations from established and emerging artists.

I will be exhibiting my own selection of paintings and prints. A percentage of every piece of work sold during the event will be donated to the Hospice.
